The experimental approaches implicated in the research projects include functional genomics, proteomics, immunology and generation of animal models. We are interested in both complex diseases such as type 1 diabetes, and Mendelian diseases such as Urofacial (Ochoa) Syndrome (UFS). Our goal is to dissect the genetic defects and molecular mechanisms by which lead to these disorders. |
