Research Areas Dr. She's research focuses on the elucidation of genetic and immunological mechanisms of human diseases, particularly type 1 diabetes. The experimental approaches include genetic mapping and positional cloning of disease genes, functional genomics, proteomics, creation and analysis of animal models for human diseases. The ultimate goals of the research programs are to understand the pathogenesis of the diseases and to develop better prediction, prevention and intervention strategies. |
