Research Areas
My main interest is in the functions of cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG, cGK) in inflammation and cancer. We believe this enzyme is a novel therapeutic target in leukocytes and endothelium to affect inflammatory diseases (arthritis, asthma atheroschlerosis). We have discovered several novel anti-tumor functions of PKG and are characterising this enzyme as a potential target for future therapeutic approaches to combat colon cancer.

Clinical Interests
Arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer
