Teaching Areas Virology, inflammation, immunology, microbial evolution and taxonomy. Research Areas My research efforts focus on two areas: the initial responses of mammalian cells to infection by alphaherpesviruses, and the cellular responses to various biomaterials used in dental restorations and in orthopedic prosthetic devices.
